Getting to Your Cottage
- Standard Sedan Access: Tarentaal, Kiewiet, and Hoephoep are easily accessible by standard car. Park right at your cottage.
- 4×4 Uphill Access: Our cottages “On the Hill” (Karee, Olienhout, Kiepersol, Akasia, Piet-my-vrou, and Suikerbos) require a 4×4 or high-clearance vehicle to drive up.
- Don’t have a 4×4? 💡 No problem! Park safely under our dedicated shade-net parking at the foot of the hill. Our staff will assist with your luggage to get up to the cottage and down again on departure. It is between 100m and 500m walk uphill, depending which cottage you booked.
Good to Know
- Your Stay: Check-in is 14:00 – 20:00. Check-out is 10:00. To ensure your absolute privacy, cottages are not automatically serviced. Servicing is available on request for an extra charge, paid directly to the staff on duty.
- 🐾 Pet Etiquette: Pets stay free! Please bring your own dog bedding and towels. We ask that you bring something to cover the furniture and the bed in case your pets jump on it.
- 🔥 Fire & Braai: To support our local farm team, firewood is sold directly by our staff for their own pockets.
- 🛒 The Shop: Charcoal, firelighters, and essentials are available at our reception shop.
- 💳 Booking Policy: A 50% deposit confirms your stay. For our cancellation policy, please refer to our Full Terms & Conditions.
Day Visitors for Hiking
Day hiking is available by prior arrangement (at least 24 hours in advance).
- Rates: R 75 per person | R 50 per child | free for dogs.
- Note: Picnic spots available at the river. No braai facilities available for day visitors.
